Make sure you go to Reggae Central to purchase your ticket for 'Reggae on the Lake', the reggae yacht cruise on Lake Norman! This is going to be a great time for all who attend this reggae event as they cruise on beautiful Lake Norman, partying Reggae style. There will be free food and giveaways and a cash bar. For this particular cruise, board the yacht at 8:00 pm sharp, cruise for 3-4 hours, and return by midnight.

The Charlotte Symphony will once again perform five concerts at Symphony Park, SouthPark Mall in its Summer Pops 2009 Series, a beloved summertime tradition. The ever-popular Albert-George Schram will return to the summer stage each Sunday evening in June to lead the orchestra in light classics and popular favorites.

How to Clear your Mind this summer!

•Practice reflection, meditation and introspective thinking for 30 minutes each morning. Many who allow constant input are keeping themselves in the shallow end of the wisdom pool. Don’t be one of them.

•Turn off the TV for at least two hours every evening

•Read your email at set times during the day – perhaps once in the morning and once in the evening. Don’t allow yourself to be interrupted with every new incoming message

•Spend four hours on Saturday without your cell phone or computer

•Plan one day a quarter on an “information fast.” Get away from your computer, your cell phone, TV and the newspapers. You’ll be amazed at how your creativity will increase – you may get the one idea that will change your future

•Read one good non-fiction book each month

1. If you buy something new for your home office. Donate something or toss something out.


2. Open your desk drawer and get rid of the things you really dont need. Keep only what you use.

3. Create a donate box and put items you dont need in the box. Clean out closets in your house! Give away 10 things you dont need you will feel so good.


4. Start opening your mail over the shredder and recycling bin. This will put a stop to things you dont need to keep!

5. Pick one thing and do now! Do just one small thing everyday and you will feel great I promise.

Last Minute Details Event Planning invites you to a another great event!

Please join us for food, fun and the celebration as we raise awareness for A Child’s Place and welcome The Outsource Resource to the community. An Open House will be held on June 20, 2009 from 11:00 am- 2pm at 1914 JN Pease Pl. Charlotte, NC 28262

The objective of this event will be to collect needed items for A Child’s Place. A Child’s Place is a collaborative effort between the Charlotte, NC community and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS). Founded in 1989, the goal of A Child’s Place is to erase the impact of homeless on children and their education.

The Outsource Resource is reaching out to the community through their open house to educate the community on the wonderful work of A Child’s Place and assist The Outsource Resource in collecting much needed items for A Child’s Place. Donation barrels will be placed throughout the event for the community to contribute.



The event is free and open to the public.
